1989년 Phil Collins(필 콜린스) 정규앨범 4집에 수록된 곡입니다.

(But Seriously(1989))

 

정통스타일의 팝 발라드곡으로 실제 싱글로 발매되지 않아서

(정작 필 콜린스는 다른 많은 싱글곡이 있습니다.)

이 주옥같은 곡이 차트에 오르지는 않았는데,

매우 인상적으로 기억되는 곡입니다.

 

담담하게 노래를 보르는 필 콜린스의 모습이 인상적이었고,

곡 전체를 감싸는 따뜻한 음악의 향연이 참 인상적이었습니다.

곡 가사의 내용은 아버지가 아들을 따뜻하게 격려하고

굳게 지켜준다는 내용입니다

 

참고로 필 콜린스는 딸 릴리 콜린스가 있는데,

영화 백설공주와 옥자에 출연한 배우입니다.

원곡의 화성과 묘미를 충실하게 살린 그들의 화음에 깊이 빠졌습니다.
